Today, NetGain Systems, a leading provider of patented real time IT Infrastructure Management solutions in Singapore and China, announced that its IT Monitoring is available as a software-as-a-service model with partners, NEC Stee and Asia Cloud. Demonstration of NetGain Systems IT Monitoring solution on the cloud will be made available in Cloud Expo Asia 2014 at the NEC Stee booth (K20) and Asia Cloud booth (SP1).

Of NetGain System IT Monitoring Solution availability on the Cloud, NetGain Systems’ Founder & CEO Mr Toh Soon Seah said, “With our solution in the Cloud, NetGain Systems is responding to customers’ demand for a software-as-a-service demand to reduce their capital expenditure on IT infrastructure and software.

“This Cloud option will allow IT teams to select base on the numbers of IPs they would like to monitor. With this software-as-a-service model, customers do not have to worry about software upgrades or patches, and even do not have to worry about their monthly utility bills as these are taken care of by the Cloud providers.”

Cloud solution providers like NEC Stee and Asia Cloud will offer packaged solutions that will include NetGain Systems IT Monitoring solution, Cloud infrastructure and VPN services to complete a secure service for customers to monitor their IT infrastructure 24/7.

“The Cloud model completes our solution offering that also include license and managed services and customers now can choose the model that meets their budget and IT infrastructure needs,” added Mr Toh.

“IT has become an essential part of any business and services today. Any downtime can lead to expensive and costly consequences. Only recently, a hardware failure by local budget airline’s service provider affected their online booking systems and that caused flight delays to up to 8 hours and many angry passengers. A Singapore Telco was fined SGD1.5 million in 2013 when its network went down for close to three days in January of the same year. The email services of some Singapore Government agencies also went down for over five hours in 2013 which resulted in loss of productivity between agencies and citizens.

“IT hardware and software, like the human body, will also highlight symptoms before going into total failure. However, such symptoms cannot be analysed by the naked eye. Symptoms of hardware failure include high memory usage, decreasing or increasing speed of the fan, long ping response time, etc can only be detected through electronic means. NetGain Systems IT Monitoring solution will alert the respective IT teams, by SMS or email, when these devices cross critical threshold levels, determined automatically or manually by the IT department.

“This allows the IT department to take proactive preventive action to prevent the failure from happening before it reaches the end user.”
